Headaches are one of the common complaints among the population. In every household, headaches are considered a casual pain that can be recovered with a painkiller but needs medical attention when it doesn’t resolve spontaneously. There are around 150 types of headaches; some of the major ones are as follows –
- Tension headaches are prevalent in adults and teenagers due to inevitable tensions and may come and go with no other symptoms.
- Migraine headaches – It is pounding, throbbing pain that can last from 3 hours to 3 days with other symptoms such as loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting, belly pain etc. children may look pale, dizzy and may have an upset stomach.
- Cluster headaches – It is the most severe headache that can occur in groups like three times a day during a cluster period that can stretch from 2 weeks to 3 months. These headaches can also ghost the person for completely a year or two but only to come back later. It is most likely to occur in men than women.
- Chronic routine headaches – It can last for fifteen days or a month, but some are short.
